‘ The Land Of Opportunity ’ – Only a few notice

World NRI Day also known as Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) is observed on 9th January once in every two years to increase the engagement of the overseas Indian community with the Government of India and also focus on reconnecting them with their roots.

This day has its significance as it is the day when Mahatma Gandhi returned from South Africa in 1915.

On January, 1915 Mahatma Gandhi came to India from South Africa and became the greatest Pravasi who led India’s Freedom struggle and made India free from British rule.

Everything is not measured in Dollars and Pounds. The relationship we have with Pravasis [NRI’s] is beyond that. The whole world admires the Indian Community, not due to the money but the values we are living with. Indian Nationals are in over 200 countries of World. But, we can say with certainity that they have taken India with them.

There was a time when professionals in India wend to distant lands to explore new possibilities. Now, India awaits you with opportunities. Such opportunities do not come easily in country’s life.

The World is seeing India with immense hope and optimism. We have so much to give to the world. What is needed is the confidence in ourselves.

The Pravasi Bhartiya Divas [World NRI day] even instills the feeling that overseas Indian communities are still connected to their homeland and have same respect and dignity in their home country.

when You can live as Masters in your own?”
